To buy the A3 or not...

I currently drive a 2001 MB C320 Sport (self-confessed Audi noob). I have a few performance mods and have been fairly happy with the vehicle. However, I do have to confess as one of the early redesigned MB adopters, I have been plagued with minor electrical issues (I think the car has been in the shop for repairs around 15 times). Until recently these were all covered by the warranty. Now that I am out of warranty, I am a bit worried that these issues will continue to happen and I will sustain ongoing repair expenses. Since the car is paid off I am more hesitant than normal to swap it out for another vehicle, however, it seems like a good time for me to do so.

What are your thoughts?

Should I drop this car in favor of a fully loaded A3 2.0 or sink the difference into maintenance on my current ride, etc. If I do go with the A3, would it be beter to wait the 6mo or so for the 3.2 quattro or just pay the extra money now and go for the fully loaded A4?

Your opinions are much appreciated. Thanks.

if you want something t compete with your merc then do not go for the A3 2.0 the A4's are nice but i dont know what engine size your looking at, also the 3.2 Quattro's are very nice and even though you have had a few things done to your merc, unless they are major you ould struggle to keep up with one..
