rain sensors on A3

Anyone know how to switch on the auto rain sensor wipers? My manual makes no mention of it, although the car is fitted the auto lights and self dipping mirror. Car is a late 2003 SE

You sure it has them? On my 05 A4 you just switch the wipers to the lowest setting. They automatically adjust themselves.
