The X chip is the beefed up chip that compares to the normal APR and REVO programming. The released an earlier version that boosted only about half of the current numbers.

You're not missing anything. Don't worry, just put that wallet back in your pocket and be satisfied with the cool, fast car you currently own. (At least until the next thread...LOL)

Chef, what if the dealer has the SPS unit? As far as I know, the units are not coded specifically for an individual vehicle, i.e., any single SPS unit can switch through the programming available on ALL Revo tuned Audi / VW / 2.0T vehicles.

Strangely, the salesman at my dealer recommended that I chip, but did not specify a tuner.

You're right about the SPS device switching programming on any REVO chipped car. The dealer most likely won't have this device and it gives you a wide range of people to sell it too if needed. Porsche, VW, and Audi cars.
