Not a bad deal. Not super stellar either. If you want the car, then buy it. Sometimes it's not worth hanging on for a long time to save $500 if it is the car you want. Now if you are more than $1k off of your "ideal" deal, then wait it out.

Cheers!

EDIT: Looks like it's the manual. You should be able to get them down to the low $30,000's. Just keep haggling...

When buying a car already on the lot, you should get a good deal. $1,000 off of MSRP is the average deal according to Edmunds.com.

Go to Edmunds.com, print out some pricing info,k and go at it with the salesmen. Tell him you know someone who got a comparable deal to what Edmunds.com tells you...

Sorry its a DSG. A3Night, thats where I was at today... Audi Mission Viejo What kind of deal did they give you? What did you get? I never bought a new car so I am not skilled in the art off bullshitting a bullshitter.

If it's DSG that's a good deal. http://www.edmunds.com/new/2007/audi....html?action=2

Now, you need to worry about a trade in if that applies, and the interest rate they try to lock you in at.

Thanks for the link gaff I never knew about this site.

So Edmunds shows:

MSRP - 32,790
INVOICE - 30,334
TMV (What others are paying) - 31,144

The salesman was going to sell me the car at $100 over invoice. He quoted me 30,834. When I told him I wanted Silver he added +450 to the 30,334 which I see now the 450 is already included. If I signed the dotted line today I would have paid 450 too much. I bet I could probably just get him down to a clean 30.

Right, the $450 for the color is included in the invoice price of $30,334. If he quoted you at $30,834 + $100, that means he's trying to slide a clean $600 out of the deal, which really isn't too bad, but he was BS'ing you from the sounds of it. He wouldn't have been selling it for $100 over invoice, more like $600 over invoice.

I got mine in 2006 with sport, open sky, and dsg for 28,000.

Since you got a quote and you walked away, try calling another audi dealer and see if they'll beat it. Thats basically what I did with mine. Or you can always lie and say you found another dealer with the same trim for $xxxx less and see if Audi MV counters.

Good luck!
