Default Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season

Just ordered a set and I'm getting them put on tomorrow. Was just wondering if anyone has tried these out on an A3 yet. The original Pirelli's got ridiculously loud and I'm hoping these will be a nice break and they are very moderately priced.

I read about them in a magazine yesterday and was wondering if they had the best of both worlds? Let us know how they behave.

Cheers!

Let me know how they work for you. My P6 have cupping on the rears, balance is fine and I agree they are noisey! One tire shop thinks the Yokahamas would work well for our climate in MN and the price is about $35 less/tire.

Told the wife I have fallen back in love with the car - to drive a quiet car again is great. I only have a couple of days on the tires, so it's tough to judge at this point. They provide a smooth ride and they are very quiet. After coming off the Pirelli's it isn't tough to be smooth and quiet.

I took it to an area we call test drive alley. It's a great spot to push cars to their limits without worrying about police. There is one longcurve that allows you to really bury the car into it at speed, so I didjust that. The car held very well, but I did notice some slight tire screechat the highest speedsI'm comfortable taking thecurve at. I felt no slipping, was in control, andit wasn't alarming - butthey did screech a little. No matter how hard I pushed it with the Pirelli's they wouldn'tscreech unlessI wassliding.

Once I get some more miles on themI'll give it another good run and see if they still screech. Maybe it was because theyare new. At this point I would defiitely recommend these tires.

T-Rack just posted their tests comparing the F1 A/S with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, Bridgestone RE960 and Pirelli P-Zero Nero A/S. I don't think they've ever had a closergroup of tires compared. Long story short, Goodyear by a nose, but you may have a different nose.

I'm up for some all-season tires this year, and the F1's are looking good to me.
