Hello. Been a while
I have been driving back and forth to Boston from Fairfield CT every week since early Decmber. VT on the weekends.My 06 A3 has been a joy and well used. Just under 30,000 on it. lots of mods that I have discussed in past since new and few problems. I warp back and forth.
A couple of notes:
1) My STOP TECH Drilled Rotors and rear stock rotors are gone after 20,000 miles. car is at shop today. 3 track events and lots of 100 MPH plus commuting and I guess I get what I deserve.
Interesting note is that shop who is a STOP TECH dealer suggests getting the less expensive slotted rotors, not the cross drilled "top of the line" most expensive I bought originally. They say they have less problems and longer life.
2) Talk about codes! At my overdue 25,000 here is what the computer said.
7 Faults. Cat System efficiency Below Threshold, Intake Man Runner seting not completed, Intake manifold Flap stuck open, Random / Multiple Cylinder Misfires Detected, Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected, Cyl 4 misfire Detected and Cyl 2 Misfire Detected. CAR RUNS FINE. Gotta assume it is just a bit confused by all the mods and hard driving.
3) Thinking BIGGER TURBO. I had bad luck with APR and switched to GIAC but system looks complete and tempting. WHO HAS A TURBO UPGRADE OUT THERE? Ideas?
