My display from the trip computer start to missing some lines horizontly and verticaly. Anyone know a way to solve this? how can i dismount the this? Help me please.

 

First off. What year is the car? And then, is it still under warantee? If it is - take it back to the dealer.

 

my car is from 2001 and i buyed in second hand. i don't have any wanrranty.

 

It sounds like a few of the LED lines on the display have gone. I'd imagine the only way to rectify this is to replace the whole display. Not sure of the cost.

 

like in all LCD's displays there's a small kind of electronic rubbers who connect PCB to LCD display, some times this small rubbers get damage because of the cold and hot inside the dashboard. Could be this the problem and the solution of this Audi LCD trip computer problem. Any one know how to dismount the display?

 

Have the same problem with my 01' A4. Talked to the dealership and they told me I had to replace the entire display and cost would be about $900. There has got to be a cheaper solution.
