How to id a 2008.5?

Probably a dumb question, but how can you tell if your A3 is a 2008 or a 2008.5?

The engine cover says TFSI (not FSI). Anything built after about mid Decemberis a 2008.5. Hope this helps.

To be clear, 2008 says FSI and 2008.5 says TFSI ?

And you probably have a AUX audio input under the arm rest (for the 2008.5) instead of a stupid 12V power outlet (2008)

Easy, at least with respect to transversely mounted motors. Intake tract design is different.
