Default How to remove the body control module?

Hello fellow Audi drivers,

My A3 has some problems with the wipers and I suspect it may be the bcm that is placed underneath the steering column.

I have a replacement bcm and used VCDS to read the coding of the original unit so I am ready to swap them out.

But how do I remove the unit from the car? What holds it in place? There is some movement in it so it's not bolted down or so but it is held in place by a metal frame or bracket, it looks like.

Does anyone here know the trick to pop it out? I have attached some photo's for clarification.

I want to replace this

With this

Any pointers are appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
JM
