My A3 (also 07, 2.0t with s-line) went through the same transformation.
Slapped the Forge BOV on there and was really disappointed at first - since it was super hard to make it vent and no power gain.
Once the Air intake was added (looks pretty much like yours but has an extra cover to separate air cone and engine) it was so much more fun! You can feel the additional power and the BOV sounds terrific (in my opinion at least).

I have no BOV on here just the intake. You think it will sound better with it on? What intake do you have and you have a vid of the sound?

I don't have a video but ECS made one - check it out. It's almost the same sound mine makes (check the very end of the video):

You might want to check out your DV, maybe it has a tear in the diaphram - or maybe I just don't have a clue what I'm talking about :P

Edit:
The air intake I purchased was: "aFe Pro Dry S Stage 2 Air Intake System"

I have a quick question.....I have a 2006 A3 2.0TFSI....when you put on your cold air intake, did you have to re-tune at all? Someone told me because it has a MAF not a MAP, it tends to cause the fuel/ air mixture to be richer...and I would have to re-tune to avoid this...any advice?

I did not re-tune but I would gain more ponies if I did. Our system is not as stupid, if it gets more air or you go to a higher altitude it will auto adjust to a certain point. However to really make a difference you need to do a stage 1 tune for a new cold air intake
