lurker becomes purchaser
It finally arrived today. I'll pick it up tomorrow, but thought I'd post a few shots. Sprint Blue ($750--got the order in before they pulled it), roof rails, cold weather. Got a great deal and as a result it's pretty cheap for a 3.2. Can't wait to drive it home tomorrow
A moderator gave me this link for all the audi navigation questions you might have; http://navplus.us
From what i know (dealer told me) the Navi plus has 2 SD card slots for all your MP3 needs
. Get a 1GB or two 512 MB (cheaper?) SD Cards and stuff them with all the music you want, probably won't fit more than a DVD with mp3's...[&o]
I am really unsure about if it even plays regular CDs with MP3's on it, the dealer didn't really clearify me on this and with his answer he distracted me from asking again.

I have Navi in my A3 and here's the scoop.
The Navigation DVD-ROM (in the headunit) can play mp3 CDs. The 6 CD-Changer in the glovebox cannot. In addition, the DVD-ROM CANNOT read mp3 DVDs.
The good news, the SD slots.
SD card memory is CHEAP, and getting cheaper by the day. I have two 2GB cards (4GB total) and that will hold you over.
There is a file limit of 512 files per SD card that the headunit will recognize. So with 192kb encoded mp3s, 2GB cards hold just under that (not to mention you can pick one up for about $50 now...were over $200 a year ago).
