Hi all,

I will try my best to explain this, i have only just noticed that when doing between 80-90mph i am getting a fast slapping/knocking sound coming from the engine it is quite fast and consistant and only does it at these sort of speeds, nothing else triggers it, the car otherwise drives perfectly.

I cant figure out where its coming from, i have had a look around for loose pipes etc and the battery cover wasnt clipped in, i fixed this and still not stopped the noise and the plastic engine cover was loose so i took it off then went for a spin but no luck.

If anyone has any ideas please help

Well i would take it to the dealer, but i doubt there going to test drive it at 80-90. Wish i knew more about diesels.

 

Why dont to go to a mechanic, dont experiment yourself.
