need a little help with winter wheel setup...
I have a 2006 a3 with sport package,
I just found a set of steel rims with wheelcaps that would make a perfect winter setup for cheap.
The girl who is sellingthem told me it's from a 2001 audi a4, they are 16 inches rims.
Will they fit with on the A3 wheelhub?
Thanks,

Yeah, if the bolt pattern is the same, and offset permitting, it will work. Just make sure that the size snow tires you get are similar in overall size to the stock. Tirerack.com has a calculator if you need for size comparison.
Going with the Blizzaks? Personally, winter & summer tires is the way I'd go if I lived in an area that actually snowed.
Cheers!

RE: need a little help with winter wheel setup...
I live in Quebec (Canada)
Having a winter setup is not really a option here...lots of snow and they they put so much stuff (rocks, salts...)onthe roadto help traction that those things can destroy any nice wheel finish..
I used many tires from the blizzaks tire line before, they are really good but are also "qualify" as ice tires and wear pretty fast.
I will probably go for the goodyear regular snow ultragrip, good value and durability.

hummm...I just called my dealler, nice guy at the service departement.
He told me that 16 inches steel wheels would not fit over the brake caliper....
I'm used to that because 17 inches would not fit on my previous G35 coupe with brembo brakes but I doubt it's the case witrh the A3 oem brake system....
I'mVERY suspicious.......opinions?

I got the stock setup... and I gonna be up $%^*'s creek living in NY this winter??
I am comming from an '03 IS300 and was hoping the front wheel drive vs rear wheel was all I needed.
I hope the mod I'm saving for doesn't wind up being some dam snow tires!!!!
