need a little help with winter wheel setup...
ishh..
It depend on 2 factor...cold temperature and snow.
If your car has allseason tires and not alot of snow in your areayou MAY be ok. Here in quebec (canada) we get -30celcius and many feetsof snowduring winter, at that temperature the all season tires get's hard like rocks. In that state you dontget alot of traction and the worst you won'tbe able to stop the car either.
Seriously..during the 3 last winter I had a rear wheel drive g35 and with good wintertires it was more predictable than most of the front wheel car I had in the snow (driving on a highway, climbing my driveway was another story...).

hummm...I just called my dealler, nice guy at the service departement.
He told me that 16 inches steel wheels would not fit over the brake caliper....
I'm used to that because 17 inches would not fit on my previous G35 coupe with brembo brakes but I doubt it's the case witrh the A3 oem brake system....
I'mVERY suspicious.......opinions?

A3 16" winter wheels....on the Audi US website
well, yes 16" mags wheel would fit.
The point of the dealer was about steel wheels + wheels cap would not clear the caliper.
anyway..guys with the wheels for sale screw it up, they where 15" wheels ....I told him to forget the sale with me.
story closed, back on used wheel search.....
