Is that squeaking sound what your calling grinding? It sounds like my buddies car when his DV was f'd up.

 

Just installed a brand new Forge DV and Neuspeed P flow. So i think its not the DV. [&:]

 

Yes! i had the same problem with my P-flow and the heatshield. I took off the heatshield eventually, which eliminated the vibrating metal sound, but the intake is still making that wut you called "grinding" noise. Definitely not a big fan of that neither... but i'm getting used to it now... haha! But yea... i'm in with you on this issue!

 

I just installed my intake and all I hear is mmmmmmmm-pphhhhsssssssss, mmmmmmm-pphhssss

 

What other mods do you have?

 

I just bought the car about 3 days ago. This weekend I am putting on a new DV, and full exhaust and then getting it chipped. I will let you know then how it sounds. I didnt put the heat shield on because of what everyone was saying about the noise it made sometimes. Just check and make sure all of the connections are tight and secure. maybe the shop did not tighten the intake down all the way.

I dont let the shop touch my cars unless it is a warrenty issue (then they have to). I am just paranoid that they would fk something up, then I would be pissed because I can do that. Atleast I know that the stuff I install is correctly install and no mistakes. The intake is the easiest mod to do. The hardest part is taking the huge Fk'n air filter plastic thing off. You have to yank the cr@p out of it.

I would just say check all of the connections. but since you did both the DV and intake maybe just uninstall one and see if it goes away.

So you have the P flow installed with no issues?

 

Oh yeah, just installed it last night. I drove the car easy and heard nothing different and drove it hard and nothing. All I would saw is check every connection, MAS, everything.

Let me know if everything is still normal after you have the DV, Chip and exhaust installed. Then it would surely be the intake that needs to be fixed.
