Blue Jays;
I totally see your point. But, I am also able to empathize with them. As a few have stated - they had paid their dues and mad sacrifices through these 5 to 7 years of spartan living and ludicruous hours of studying and working for no pay. While all that time they were seeing these cars on the streets, driven by others.If after a full fiscal analysis, they feel that they are able to afford one of these cars' down payments with moderate financing rates. I say 'Git 'R Done'.Go out there and enjoy - you've earned it.
Thanks, your empathy is appreciated. What this comes down to is perception anyways... I'd rather have a nice car and a cruddy apartment over a nice apartment and a crappy car. That's just my mindset for the time being. Being that I'm living at home and making good money, I really don't have many financial worries ahead of me any time soon anyways. Blue Jays wants me to think otherwise, but what Blue Jays doesn't realize is that this might be the only chance in my life to purchase a really nice car. 5 years down the road I will probably start to settle down and care more about retirement, owning a house, starting a family, etc... Now is NOT that time. I'm 24, fresh outta college, makin money, and I want unadulaterated satisfaction.

So, that's why I went to a dealership today and put a deposit on an A3. I should have it by next weekend.

'07 A3 2.0T, MT, Ocean Blue/Light Gray, S-Line package, Cold Weather, Open Sky, and the Audi Symphony system. I got a good price and great financing. I think I did rather well, and I thank Audi for having the College Graduate Program, or else I wouldn't have been able to get such a low APR.

I'll post pictures of my new toy when I get it.

Gaffnova;
Welcome to the club enjoy your new purchase. And yes - go out and live it up. When you do go out and decide to settle down - that really puts a damper on "fun money". Might I also humbly suggest getting a bike - thus you can totally get the full life experience. Just be careful not to stretch yourself too thin - leave some money for the travellin'. Cause, at your age with your income, ya can definitely live it up down on the islands for a vacation with a few buddies. Or even whoop it up down on South Beach on weekends. Hell, why not even weekend golf trips down to Myrtle Beach. Just my take. Live it up. Live fast. And congrats on your purchase.

Thanks man! Not sure if I'm ready for the bike, but I'll keep your suggestion in mind. We'll see what happens in a year, or two, or three.

And, you read my mind on the vacation tip. I haven't had a serious vacation in years. That is definitely my next major initiative. I'm thinking of island hopping in the Mediterranean next summer. I have connections with some Greeks, so Athens would be a good home base for some island hopping thereafter. I might have to take advantage of that cold weather and take a trip up to Vermont as well... shrep up the slopes a bit.

Anyways, thanks for the support man, I'm super-excited about my new car.
