Default New to Audis

I've been looking around lately and comparing a few cars. After checking out the tC, RSX, and a couple other models I figure I should give the a4, and possibly the A6 a shot. Theres a 2001 A4 at a local dealership, around $14-15k. My question is compared to the tC handling wise are these better, speed wise, comfort wise? To be honest, I have no clue really anything about Audis. I've always stayed with Ford, and recently just got rid of my cobra mustang. I'm looking at something a little more nice for a daily driver, which is one reason I liked the A4's Trip tranny.
Big reason I was steering away from the A4 is I wasn't sure if I'd be happy with their performance-opposed to the A6 which seems geared a lot more towards what I wanted. What times are they running?

2001 a4 in quattro form i believe will whope some *** against the tc and i think its way prettier and way more luxurious! and the a4 is way bigger on the inside then the rsx for sure i know that for a fact... but the rsx type s will win in a strait line against the a4 but not in the corners... i love quattro!!! honestly the a4 isnt even in the same legue as the tc and rsx its a sedan vs two hatches... they are all great cars... but sense your at an audi forum.. i think your going to get a lil audi bais! but they are all good cars like i said but i would go with the a4.but thats just me...

I'll have to give it a shot.
I was liking the hatch back style, but it seems like the Audi will be a lot nicer of a ride.
I'm just hoping I wont get something slower, and than regret it.

Another question. Is it worth spending an extra grand and going to the A6? I'm really feeling it is right now.
The AWD, Twin Turbo are a big plus.
Don't really need the extra space though.

I found a few a6's around 14.5k-17k. I'll give them both a test drive and see what I think. If the a4 had the AWD I'd be really leaning towards that. The only s4 I found priced around that range was a 2000 S4 with 112k miles. I'm assuming it's smart to avoid a audi with around 115k miles?

I say you test drive all your options and feel the audi difference. In terms of luxury, comfort, looks, handling (can't beat the quattro), and being a daily driver the A4 is perfect. Performance wise you won't get huge numbers but they're by no means slow, besides you can always mod for alot of hp gains. If you want power like the A6 get an S4, same power less weight and also "modable". Tc and RSX are great cars but as an all around package they got nothing on an Audi. Just my opinion.

The price on the s4 was about 14,000. I just don't feel like having to do a lot of repairs as soon as I get it, but if that is fine mileage for the s4, I deffinatly would push my self to that one.

I'll be giving them a test drive tomorrow, and will see which one I like the most.

The A6 is more expensive than the A4. If you are shopping an a6 and a4 in the same relative price range, what is the difference in the cars? Is it mileage, options, age, or something else?
