Default New stock rubbers for 06 A3

Looking for new tires for my 06 A3 and I'm thinking of getting something else besides Pirelli's. If anyone has experiences with other tires good and bad please share. I just want to gather as much info as I can before I go out and buy new rubbers.
Thanks.

Cool Depends, Summer's or All Season?

All Season's, I like Bridgestone RE960's.

Summer, Yokohama S.Drive's.

I replaced the all-season Pirellis with high performance summer Kumho Ecsta Sports. Much happier! I do live in Southern California They are great in the city, and on the long road.

I have Yokohama Advan S4's on my 08 (had a blowout w/ 1 pirelli so I replaced them all) and they are MUCH quieter and have much better wet and dry traction. I think it was about 800 after installation.

I have Toyo T1-R's as summer (+3 season) tires. Nice and sticky, but known to get noisy as the tread wears (but nothing like the Pirelli P6!). I still have one more year of tread life, so premature to replace. I plan to get Michelin Pilot Exalto PE-2's to replace them next spring.

A much wider survey can be done at tirerack.com. Put in your car and tire type and looks thru the list and read what everyone says. If you use the A4 as a model you get even more choices. Last I looked there was a Continental brand that looked real good for All Season use.
