Hello Folks,

I recently bought a 2006 Audi A3. Last night, I drove home my audi and noticed that the parking lights where not turning off even after removing the ignition key and minutes after locking the car.

1) The light switch is in "O" position
2) The turn signal lever is in neutral position (not right or left)
3) Ignition key is removed and after a wait for 15 minutes, the parking lights are still on
4) Homecome switch is turned off

Also, when I unlock the car and put the ignition key and turn on the power (position before the car start), the head lights come up.

I've tried various things light putting the light switch position in various angles ("O", "Parking lights", pulled out for fog lights, "Head light on" position) etc. But still no use.

My car doesn't have DRL. Afraid of draining the battery, I removed the "Left and right light" fuses found in the fuse box under the hood.

Any help is appreciated.

I was also surprised at this same occurrence. All of my other cars lights turn off with the ignition, except the Audi.
