Want to install a phatbox from a previous Jetta into my 2006 A3. Have the cable for it.Does anyone have installation instructions? Also would like to know where the actual unit was installed.

 

I don't have instructions, but some people have installed in the trunk, but others have installed in the glovebox.

 

I just recently installed one in my 2006 A3. I put it in the CD-changer slot of the glovebox. All I did was unbolt the silver part of the housing and installed only the electronics part.

I got a step-by-step walkthru from the web somewhere, but can't find the link right now. I might have it at home and will look.

the phatbox is the thing for the a3.....I could not live without it anymore.

do the indash install, the cable is allready there and dont forget its the VW connector, not the audi round one.

Thanks. But I've been to this website before and I was not able to find info. about where I can get the products. I tried calling the contacts and I tried to add accessories to the cart.. once again without any luck.

 

There are some on ebay occasionally. Sometimes complete kits, and sometimes you have to piece the kits together. But I can just about guarantee it will be cheaper than the $600-$700 for msrp

 

got mine used from a member on vortex forums, otherwise I would have bought from ebay.
