Prospective A3 Buyer
Hello all,
Now I'm 21 insurance is now affordable on a better car its time for my little 206 1.4 HDI to go.
Just looking into purchasing a new vehicle.
I have about 8k to spend and my options are
Audi a3
One of the VXR ranges
Megane Rs250
polo 1.8t
alfa brera prodrive 3.2 v6
I just wanted some info from you guys about 2.0tdi 170 vs 2.0t
I'm not too bothered about economy as it'll only be for uni and leisure, no mega mileage done. Insurance is actually quite similar on them around £850
and i'll be remapping and putting exhausts etc on either the diesel or the petrol. I know that the petrol will be faster but as a whole living with the car experience is what i'm after. Maintenance costs.
I really enjoy driving, so come on guys whats the better drive?
Would be good to hear so point of views remapped side. i've driven an a4 with the 2.0 140bhp lump in and that was very nice, if not a little heavy and the a5 with the 1.8 t 200bhp and I found that quick enough but it didn't have that pin you to your seat acceleration an astra vsr has for example despite similar figures. It was too smooth a power delivery.
thanks all.
