Default Question on Sirius display

First, thanks to everyone on this forum! I'm thinking of getting an A3 2.0T and it's really helped me learn about the car.

I'm wondering what program info you get on the displays (radio or between the instruments) of a car with Sirius but without the nav. I saw a car with nav and saw that it displayed channel no. and name, plus the artist name and song title. Without the nav, is there a way you can get the artist and song title, or do you just get the channel no. and/or name? I test drove the car at 2 dealers and would have asked the salesmen, but in both cases they had already given me wrong information (one told me I could get either XM or Sirius, and the other asked if I was interested in Quattro on the 2.0!). This may decide whether or not I get the nav. Thanks!

Same for XM in case you go that way.

Glad to hear that. Does it cycle through those automatically, or do you push a button to change the display?

Thanks for the replies. Glad to know I won't have to pay $2k to know what's playing on the radio!

You can choose weather the station number and name is always present or the artist and song. Very nice display compared to the Sirius on my other car's factory stereo.

Nice. I have a BMW X3 now with Sirius (non-nav) and the info display on the radio is very clunky. I think maybe if it's just for the Americans (like cupholders), the Germans don't put that much thought into it! You have to press a button to get a single line artist, then press again to get the title. If you want to see it scroll another line or 2, you have to hold and press a button to turn "scroll on." The worst part is that setting isn't retained, it has to be reset each time the car is restarted.
