Default Quick Question

Hi there,

I've been looking all over the internet and I haven't yet found a conclusive answer to my question. "Is there a way to tell the difference between a 1996 1.9TDI 90bhp and a 1997 1.9TDI 110bhp merely by looks?" I noticed a difference between the speed dials, but it's not bound to the engine types I found out.

I'm actually looking for a first generation A3 and I'm tired of people not displaying which of the 1.9's they have. There are too many advertisments to reply to each and every one of them and ask them which engine they have, which is why I'd like to have some sort of visual distinction to be able to tell the two apart. If there's none, I guess I know what to do the next few days, calling and e-mailing a lot of people.

Please note that I live in Belgium, Europe and the dials are in kph rather than mph.

Thanks in advance.
