Hi everyone

I have an audi a3 2002 model. My radio/cd/tape in the car is not working. The backlight on the display is lit up but nothing is shown on the display, and no tapes/cds play, and the radio doesnt tune.

Also when I try to turn the radio off the backlight is still lit up. Even when i turn the ignition off and remove the key the backlight is still lit up.

Can anyone advise or has anyone had a similar problem?

Aha i have worked it out!

I simply took out and put back in the fuse for the radio, it restarted and all i had to do was re-enter the security code.

The tricky bit is finding the fuse box which is beneath a panel on the driver side, which is exposed when the door is opened on the side of the dash. the other tricky bit is working out which fuse to pull out, this is listed in the handbook

I had the same thing occur in my 2002 A4. The other problem I have is with the radio. I get no AM stations and few FM stations. However two or three times I have noticed that I suddenly have perfect reception but after 15 to 20 min it craps out again. If you can solve that one let me know.
