radio not working

Default radio not working

i recently replaced the heater core in my 2000 a4 everything went fine it all works again but when we put everything back together now the radio wont turn on the buttons and everything light up but the face plate wont light up or anything the fuses were checked and are fine and the wiring is all correct

I don't know what radio you have, but some of them have a fuse in the back of the headunit.

yea mine does have a fuse in the back on it its red so its most likely a 25 amp fusewhen i turn the car on you can hear that its spinning the cd and everything its that the display wont light up or anything and the buttons like wont do anything i pushed on the whole front casing to the radio the other night and the screen lit up but then went out once i let go

If its a red "blade" (ATC) fuse then it's 10 amp, not 25, and it sounds like you've got a bad radio. Due to it's age and being banged around while taking it out may have cracked a solder joint on a circuit board inside. IIRC, I think ECS was selling new radios dirt cheap about a month or two ago.

And, Yep- they are still listing them dirt cheap.

alright thanks yea i did a circuit test on it and the face plate wasnt getting any connection
