Aha! I have also been grandma-ing a lot to prove to myself that the gas mileage is better than my forester XT. maybe i should just drive the **** out of it? or, perhaps i can remember to put it in sport next time. i'm going to mess around with it and see what happens. i haven't had ANY other problems with it at all, except sometimes when i try to change stations on sirius it will go about 5 stations before it stops.

I have 1800 imes on my 2.0 DSG and think that upshifts may be less "crisp" now then when I took delivery. Shifts happen quickly but then it seems as though there is a slight delay as the clutch slips to fully engage the next gear. Seems to happen only during easy to moderate driving. If I floor it, the upshifts seem to occur much faster. I wonder how much (if any of this) has been "learned" by the ECU as a result of break-in and/or my recent attempts to maximize fuel mileage on a recent long trip.

what's the official procedure for resetting the ECU? Just unplugging the battery does it? I remember on my ex's B5 passat it had something to do with unplugging battery, press gas, reconnect battery and idle (something like that).

The noob section needs an ECU reset guide.

Just unplug the battery and the ECU should reset.
