Default I got rear ended

I got rear ended yesterday I have an occasional exhaust leak and I think I can hear my lifters now, what are some things I should look for when being rear ended, Impact was at about 30 mph I was at a dead stop only visual damage is some paint taken off my bumper, no dents.

If you where hit at 30mph you would have a hell of a lot more damage than just minor paint damage. If there is only minor paint damage then the max would be a new bumper, but most likely a repaint is all that is needed.

Double-check the rear frame rails. You may have wrinkling or weakening of the rails. Depending on your model year the remote antenna may be under there too. If you really did get away with only paint damage then that's great and it is possible. My buddy nailed a deer at 60 in his B5 Passat - did cosmetic damage and broke the washer fluid tank - that's it. Getting hit at half that speed may have only messed up the paint - a Benz would knock you forward. If you were pinned in place and didn't move when hit, the damage would be worse.

run your hand over the C pillars. you'll probably find a bump if you seriously got hit at 30mph. you're trunk is fine too?

Yea I think what happened is her car slipped under mine, most of the damage is on the bottom part of the bumper. I figure 30mph because its a 45 mph road but it could very well be more like 20,25 I've never been in an accident before so I wouldn't know for sure . ill get some pics when the sun comes up lol I woke up because my percocet wore off haha

That'd still be pretty amazing if it was really only paint damage even at 20 MPH
