Which car did you test? I found to be very close to the floor on the Sline I tested. I do not know if it was this particular car or the difference between the Sline seat -manual- and Premium -electric. I found myself in a 'weirder' position in the Sline and the Premium felt better. I am 6' and the car feels great, actually, I used to have a sardine can as a car so the A3 seems huge!

I'm 6', but with really long legs. I dont have any issues with my knee rubbing, because the way I sit my right leg does not rest against the console.

I am 6'1 and that doesn't bother me. Letting the seat back slightly helps out alot. I am mostly preoccupied by the metal side frames in the Sport seat. I am hoping that like some who have posted, I'll get used to it and it won't bother me.

Default Knee rubs on center console

I'm 6'2 and my right knee rubs on it right on the side area of my kneecap which is painful over time. So still happening in 2010 model! Seems like 6'1 - 6'3 is the sweet spot for this issue.

I am wondering if the triangular, handle type doohickey on each side of console can be removed?
