Default Select PARK...roll back?

Anyone know why the DSG A3 rolls back (about six inches or so) after you put it in PARK?
I know the remedy is the Parking Brake. But, on most auto-trans cars when you put it in PARK, the car stays put. Got anything to do with the DSG?
Naah, that can't be it.

6 inches is too much. I have the DSG and the roll is only couple inches max. I would have it looked at.

Mine rolls anywhere from 0 to around 3 inches. It seems that the DSG transmission have wider, more spaced apart detents in the park lock. I've noticed that my A3 rolls more than any other auto car I've had. Scared my friend once who got out and was getting things from the "trunk". Hence, no more using armrest, which gets in the way of the hand brake.

You should always use your e-brake on any incline, shallow or steep, whether it's DSG, auto or manual because it will stress the tranny. Ever hear a clunk or have difficulty getting out of gear without the e-brake? That means you should have had the e-brake on.

yup ebrake is the thing to do.. when ur on flat ground u dont have to pull the ebreak up that much but when on the slope its better to pull ur ebrake almost all the way..
