Hey alawhead,

Not sure on the total service. However, I believe there is an ECU update that Audi is doing. If you have your car chipped, might lose the software. So, hopefully, if you have it chipped, you kept the receipt!

I bought my car in May 2005. So its a 2005.5 B7. All maintenance was included with mine. Not sure when they discontinued the maint program. (have to pay $600 for it now) They cover all of the services, and scheduled maint. - 10, 15, 30, 45 miles, etc. And really anything that may go wrong. This was my experience. I never paid a cent for any scheduled maint, or other things, etc.

If you have done mods, this could be different.

Yeah, your car will be covered, but service intervals are 5k and 15k miles. Why are you going in at 10k miles???

Cheers!

^ Chef brings up a good point I brought mine in at 10k b/c i had put on those 10 K in a very short period of time and the mant. req. light came on they told me I would be fine and the earliest I could bring it in and be covered was at 12.5k. They reset the mant req. lighti ended up waiting until 15k (although I did do an oilchange at 11k) andi had no problems what so ever

the service message came on so i assumed it was time. when i called i found out that some interval service calls are not covered, 10k being one of them. of course they said i had to bring it in to clear the light and rec. oil change, filters, fluids but not for free. i bought it used with 6k on it and that was when the oil was changed. i am a little hesitant to take it to a quick change type of operation.

Yeah, there is no service change right now. You can clear the reminder easily yourself and just wait until 15k miles. I think that the directions are in the NooB link, so just do a search. I never remember, so I just mess with pulling and pushing the toggle switches until it goes in the correct mode.

Cheers!

Chef is right it is in the nOOb thread.
The only reason I did an Oil change at 10k is I lived in Las Vegas and that heat 120F daily and sitting in traffic with the a/c blowing can take a toll on your engine so I was just playing it safe.

Another vote for more frequent oil changes depending on driving conditions. In the spring we get some sand storms from China...I can see the the dust in my air filter even on a weekly basis! So I change my oil every 7500km for now; afterwards, I'm going to send my oil out to get it analysed (as per Shipo's aka God of Oil suggestion) and see what the required frequency really is. But I'd rather waste a couple hundred on an oil change then have a big problem down the road.
