Very very easy install. It is only 1 bolt. You'll need to lift the car, and it takes a little grease, and elbow grease, to get it in place. Also, it is a very large bolt that you'll need to torque to spec, so take that into consideration.

Cheers!

The first to second shift on my A3 is pretty harsh sometimes too, and that's on DSG. Seems to happen mainly when I am in manual mode and I'm ******* it. My next mod is going to be the dog bone insert, probably within the next two weeks.

As I understand it, the dogbone insert adds considerable vibration to the cabin at idle due to the increased rigidity of the bushing. Has anyone done it - and is it worth the benefits?

Glad I am not the only one...and clearly I am not totally crazy. I was wondering how much the ecs dog bone kit is? Is this something that I can install myself or does it require some serious wrenching?
Its$39.95 from ECS. I should be getting one in the mail today w/ the VF Pendulum Mount that I just bought. Too bad I already have it.I'm going to put it onsale for $35 shipped. If interested, let me know, just let me make sure it comes first. Keep you posted.

same here.

1st to 2nd has been stiff since day one. i thought with time it would get smoother but i guess it won't.

this issue has actually made me better at reading traffic ahead trying to avoid downshifting to 1st!! [&:][&:]

Thanks but I am not going to need that...Car is running much better after they performed the ECU recall and reflashaed. The shifting is much smoother and unless I am careless cannot even feel it. If you are having the same issues I would let Audi know so that at the very minimum you can get that issue in your file. I do not think the relfash fixed the issues specifically, but the reset as someone else posted will allow the computer to relearn the shifting patterns.

If lavadrifter falls through, I'm interested in the insert, and am local in NoVA...
