So, more and more I see A3's on the road. The more I think it looks like a mini station wagon.

Only in the color black I think it looks sporty. Seen it silver, white, and red and it looks VERY wagony.

I love it in black, and I am shopping around for an A3 still.

But everyone who I introduce the A3 to says "Isnt that the station wagon?"

I am really thinking about purchasing this car within about 1 month. And now its got me exploring other options, because everyone thinks its a station wagon.

 

Take ur friends to the dealer and go for a test drive. They will shut up.

if it looks like such a wagon then don't get it, i personally don't think so along w/many others i'm sure. plus i prefer the term "sportback" anyway.

 

If you are too insecure to drive what some people call a station wagon, go get a H2 on Deuce McCalister's (26's)

The A3 is listed as a station wagon on my insurance...I can handle that. Avants are station wagons, the A3 is actually several inches shorter than the A4. Stop crying.

The A3 is a short station wagon, but so what? As illwork4sumbread alludes to, the definition is good for insurance purposes. With a chip, it's a sub 6.5 second (0-60mph) wagon. Which means you can leave BMW 325's and automatic 330's in your dust.

If you are still worried about projecting a sporty image, consider the S-line package in the 2007 model.

 

aww....boo hoo....my friends call my car a wagon and i'm so insecure about my sexuality and/or ***** size that this bothers me!

If you like the car, buy it and enjoy it, if you don't then dont buy it. if you only care what your friends, or other people think about what you drive, then go ask them what they like and buy that and dont complain that you got a trendy car that you dont actually like.

call my a3 a minivan for all i care, its a minivan thats fun to drive and can kick the **** out of many 'sports cars' for not too much money and carry 5 people, with room for light luggage. or 1-2 people and tons of stuff, and haul *** either way.

 

PS, i'm not trying to be harsh, or rude, just trying to get a point across as bluntly as possible

 

Boy this guy really picked the wrong crowd, on the wrong day, with the wrong car.
I my friend have had nothing but compliments on my car. People pulling up next to me and asking me to roll my window down
to find out the maker of my car . I would like to ask you if you've already test driven one of these cars?
Probably not,cause if you have you wouldn't be so unsure of its class. Station wagon Sportback, how about bad a..!
