stoked about a3...and concerned
im about to take the plunge into the audi world and im pretty psyched! im lookin at a couple a3's and hopefully will be able to pull the trigger soon.
couple questions (i searched and didnt really find exactly what im lookin for)
1. overall reliability. my commute is pretty tame. >20 miles mostly freeway for work and school. can also take back roads for both. so basically will she be alright if i take care of her. religious oil changes and check ups and what not.
2. what exactly does the warranty include...both of the a3's im lookin at are still under warranty. what does the warranty cover besides the 25, 30, 45k chck ups?
3. overall fun? is she worth it?
thanks in advance guys! appreciate any help

The 2.0 FSI (as opposed to TFSI) has a variety of concerns, notably high pressure fuel pump, cam follower for the pump, and other stuff that people complain about.
The 3.2 has much less issues.
common for both would be AC compressor, cracked seat bolster on the sport seats.
Only older ones has main included, maybe 2007 and older?
As far as warranty, it is bumper to bumper for 4yr/50k.

Warranty like all new warranties, should transfer. Although I heard a story or two where they were suckered into believing it doesn't.
Of course, if you mod your car, they could always deny the warranty. It would be up to you to fight them, insisting that the mod does not affect the component in question.
most non 2006 DSG has 10/100k warranty due to recall. But then 2006 DSG did not have defect, so it should not be a huge concern.
