Default suspension shield removal

for those of you who have the same problem with the loose rear suspension shields that make a real annoying rattle when going over uneven roads, those shields are strongly recommended not to be removed by the dealer i spoke to. they said it protects the brake lines from debri and provides better airflow to the brakes. Im taking it in tmr to see what else they can do to it to stop it from losening up and rattling. for those of you who are experiencing or have experienced the same problem did ur dealer tell you the same thing?

I would pull the bolt out and add locktight to them and then just crank really hard on them upwards to about 90-100lb torque

I just had my stealership check my stone shield/guard for a rattleand they said a piece of it was broken off and was the source of my rattling. The bad news is that its NOT covered under warranty and I have to pay $50 bucks or so for the part. I remember in some prior threads where someone had it replaced under warranty...

At this point, id rather pay $50 and have the rattle fixed...
