You didn't like these? I would have bought them, but I decided to stick with 17's.

Quadric, I would go with the 235/40/18 tires with the 8" rim. You'll get a little more tread on the ground to help with the mods and I believe that the tire is very close to the same diameter as the stock.

Cheers!

Thats what I had thought myself actually, according to this Tire Calculator, there is going to be a 1.7% change in speedometer reading with the 235/40/18 as apposed to 0.5% with 225/40/18. So not a whole lot of difference. So going with an 18x8 & 235/40/18, I should be looking at getting a fairly high offset in case I later decide to lower my car?

The Volk ME Progressive are nice looking Although the post says only 19x8 et48, I might have to contact them on Monday and see if they do 18x8 as well.

Now don't get too outrageous with your mods. It'll be around this time next year that I'll be living North of San Antonio and I don't want you to show me up too badly.

Cheers!

LoL - never [8D]

Looks like Penske is only getting a 19" wheel shipment from Japan (rereading the thread), so I might be out of luck with those Volk wheels.... damn.... I'll still call maybe they have had enough interest in 18" that they might be going to make another order real soon.... let's hope

I reckon I'm going to go with the Enkei Racing Series GTC01 in Hyper Black - 18x8 et50. I just can't justify dropping more than $500 into a wheel, then again more than $300 is an ask as well. At least my ride will be looking sweet

Tire rack recommends a 225/40/18, but I'll go with a 235/40/18 (if they allow me, I'll call them Monday). I reckon I'll go for either Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 or Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position, any others I should consider?

My choices were between the GY Eagle F1's or the Toyo Proxes T1-R. Obviously, I chose the Toyo's and love them very much. I'm sure that the GY's will be just as good.

Cheers!

Bridgestone RE-01R summer tires. What about a 245/40-17? Almost a full inch more meat on the street. Use a 17X8 ET 45-50 and clearance should be OK. Also TR has them on sale for $146 each. And if you are an SCCA (or a few other clubs) member there's also a $100 rebate going on.
