Hi,

I have always loved the A3 but never been able to afford one but I have been offered a 53 plate 1.9tdi 110 sport for £3k with 75k miles on the clock.

The car has 19" alloys, heated seats and private glass and all this comes with a service history.

Obviously I am very interested but dont want the 50 mile trip for nothing, should I be sceptical of this as it is a private sale and the guy recons the only thing wrong is a scratch on the petrol cap!!!

One mate who used to have one said he had probs with the cluch and fly wheel and said I should ask if this and the cambelt have been changed too

Any other things I should be looking for?

Look forward to recieving anyones helpful advise as I would like to buy it this weekend if its a worthwile excersize!!
