hey people. recently joined the group of Audi owners but i live in a country where the local dealers don't support the A3 so i'm pretty much on my own whenit comes to looking for parts. had to fly in some cooling fans from Wisconsin the other day now i am looking for aleft front drive shaft. i believe however that i can get just the tripod joint alone but all i am seeing is the entire shaft - 1J0407271HK.

anyone out there knows where i can get the joint from????

I don't know exactly which part you are referring to, but you can visit www.genuinevwaudiparts.com (the online parts sales arm of Miramar VW/Audi), enter your year and model, and click on either front suspension or front drive axle, and then look for the specific part. Good luck.
