Newbie here from the USA - would like to know if A4 rims would fit on an A3.

Newer A4s (B6/B7) have similar high-offset wheels that would fit the A3. Which A4 wheels are you looking at? That may help narrow down whether or not they'd fit.

 

if it's 5x112, and a +35 to +45 offset it will fit anyAudi,mid-'90'sup to current.

 

The wheels I'm looking at are the A4 5-spoke wheels. Seller says they are 17x7.5, bolt pattern is 5x112 with a 45 offset.

We have a '07 A3 2.0T.

Will they fit?

Yup, offsets lower than 45 won't fit an A3....... trust me, i did my digging for info. that's why i can't have those VMR 714's because the offsets areat 35

 

I have A3 TDI with sline suspension and have stock A4 wheels with ET42 and 215/55/16 winters and they rub that back (think bumper cover) slightly. I would like to know if going with the OEM tire size for the A3 205/55/16 on the same rim will definitely solve this issue? They look great as they fill the wheel well nicely but read above that I need greater than ET45 to fit.

 

I just put 2007 S4 wheels on my 2006 A3. 18" from 17". Now I need to lower it a little bit. It looks like a Q5. The biggest pain in the *** was getting those plastic caps off the lug nuts.
