im so pumped over this thing you guys have no idea, i have been saving every scratch of money i could since Issam came up with this project months ago

 

i knew this was going to be sick when i heard they were thinking about doing it... but watching that video is just awsome, i seriously need to make out a financing plan for a street version of this

 

I love how he get sideways shifting into second.....

I wish....this may give some of the V6ers some hope!

The evo guys spin the same turbo out to 32-35psi if i recall correctly. This car should make 600whp at 30psi easy. I wonder if the drop off at 7k is the driver lifting cause that turbo should still be making power, not falling off.

 

well remember this is on a 3.0-3.2l engine. so this turbo is going to be working a lot harder to hold 30+psi at redline than it will on a 2.0-2.3l evo motor.. it's going to take some calculating on what displacement/turbo your going to want to get what you want out of the car. via, daily/road coarse/drag/autoX/etc...

buta 3.2l w/gt4094r or maybe even a gt42r could get you in the range of 700-900+Awhp.with a pretty decent powerband (some might not thing so w/the 42r though)who wants to find out the breaking point for the VR6?

as far as the 7k power drop, im not sure. maybe taking it easy on the new motor among other things.. but it should be better balanced than a straight 4 so RPMs shouldn't be a big problem to go to at least 8k redline

 

All that can be taken care of with a larger A/R.

Also if its a time attack car, the gt35 is pushing it and a gt40 would be more so. The powerband looks great as is, but if more power can be squeezed out of it, no point in changing turbos,especially for a road course.

 

right, their turbo is perfect for their needs..

me however, would like something that i can have a bit more lag(im used to it anyways)hold boostup to 8k, and have 500+Awhp@ 20-25psi w/pump gas and methcombo.. but i have not looked at the power VR6 guys are getting with certain turbo's. so a lot more research needs to be done

im thinking a gt4088r... or maybe a gt35r 1.06 A/R... but that kind of thinking is far down the road

How much can you get an unbuilt Vr6 for? What generation vr6 are they using off of what car? I have no clue about this kind of stuff, but watching you two talk is like watching football *opens a cold beer*
