So how do i turn off this stoopid message in my 2002 A4 Quattro? It is the "mileage" reminder for routine maintenance the dealer does to rape you further.

 

reset the system ( I think theres a thread on here about doing that), Disconnecting the battery may work as well for approximately 5 mins (it still may come back on). Im pretty sure you can do what you want with a Vag-com.

 

with the key turned off hold the service button, then turn the key to the on position while holding the service button for the trip meter with the key in the on position press reset for the trip meter
