"VAG-COM "too many communicarion errors" HVAC
Trying to find out why heater blower doesn't run. I get "too many communications errore to continue" when I try to run the "open controller". The fan speed display goes up and down every 3 or 4 seconds. Should you get a voltage reading at the blower because I do not. Where is the resistor located if there is one. It has auto temp controll.

resistor is on top of the blower unit and not cheap, Ive marked the item that goes down and can be replaced for less than £1.00 or $2 it must not be soldered on you should crimp it on after you remove the old one ( itsa heat resistor ) that's why the blow if soldered on

OK,I know all of you have been waiting for the answer to my problem. I (dumb me) didn't check all the fuses. I found one blown, slapped in a new one and away my daughter went. It lasted 1 day. Replaced it again, it lasted 2 hrs. Replaced it again and it lasted 30 seconds. I replaced the fuse with a relay and it would click on and off for about 30 seconds, and then work great. I thought I had found of a solution, WRONG. After checking wireing for about 3 hrs (with the relay clicking on and off) I happened to have the hood open. I saw small sparks coming from the right lower side of the engine. The A/C compressor wire was rubbing against the compressor pully. Good thing I kept working on it after dark. My daughter is happy I got her car fixed.
