Default Two Errors-CEL - what do they mean?

Hello,
It's a 2000 a4 quatro with the following prob.[:@]

The CEL prompted me to have autozone check the codes for me. They gave me:
P1411 - SAI system incorrect downstream flow detected
P1423 - EGI functioanlity test failed

I searched, found and understand that the 1411 error is the secondary air pump ... where is it located?

Any ideas on the 1423?
Any tips would be great ... also, when I do fix this will the CEL turn off or does it need to be cleared. Autozone said that they are not allowed to clear codes any more.

Ok, the solonoid Ohm'd ok.

Where do I find the fuse for the pump ... I did not find one on the pannel ... also, is this pump located in front of the engine, lower pass. side?

When I do fix this will the CEL turn off or does it need to be cleared?

Your doing great diagnosing this for yourself. Yes it will needed cleared, it should be stored in pending codes if not still a current code and light on.

you either hook the combi valve and all back up to proper functionality(not super hard at all), or you grease the emissions tester 10 bones
