****accelerating uphill******
ORIGINAL: Audi42005
ok first of all, fu*k all of you. obviously you have no idea what i am talking about and obviously don't know ****. i just gave 3krpm as an example, so your saying that if i am crusin and my rpms are aroud 3k or and need to accelerate up hill i should downshift???? screw that. i obviously know that if my rpms are at 2k then i need to downshift *** hole. My point is that the rpms are high enough to make boost and it accelerates fine, just that it makes a loud engine noise, its not boggingdown at all. i guess that just because i don't have thousands of posts all you idiots think i am new to audi and don't know ****. you guys are rediclious.

Ok try this: http://www.ehow.com/how_3234_drive-car-with.html
"You'll know you're in the right gear for your speed if the engine is running smoothly. If it's coughing and sputtering, shift to a lower gear. If the engine noise pitch is too high, shift to a higher gear."

from your description, the rpms are too low to expect goodpower/smooth op.at full throtle at 2-3k rpms. The turbo doesnt even spool until after 3k rpms. When you give it a bunch of gas bellow 3k rpms in a high gear (especially up hill)you are loading the engine up with a bunch of fuel that cant be burned efficiently which would explain rumbling and slight vibrations... I have experienced this in every manual shift car i have ever owned, and its just a matter of picking the best shift points.
I will say this, if your clutch was slipping your RPMs would jump.
I was going to try and help if you gave a bit more info, but go screw off... OHHH BIG MAN! Registered in 04 with a whopping 56 posts... yeah, try helping some people and get some respect.
