12v with problems. Run away...quickly. Sorry but you can do better than that. Have you considered a 1.8T?

What problems?

Anyway, try to work him lower on price, but for 4-5k, I think it's a good deal, seems like it's well taken care of, have you test driven it yet? brought it to a mechanic? gotten all receipts/records? If you answered yes to all three and still like it, I say go for it. And instead of tint, the first thing you should do is seafoam then synthetic oil change.

oh, and the moon roof is kind of a common problem and easy fix. it turns out most problems with it are just the connections, which need to be cleaned and reconnected. Worst case scenario I think is you'll need a new motor, shouldn't cost much for a used one.

for the clutch, it's easy to tell by feel. have you asked him if it's been replaced?

I don't see what the problem is with it being a 12v if he doesn't have a problem with it (once he test drives it) and doesn't have any plans for mods. Am I missing something?

Most people from what i have seen come on here saying that they dont wanna mod but 2 weeks later they will be posting what mods can i do to my 2.8. If you have a 12v theres really no where you can go for more HP.

good point. if he knows what he wants than it seems like a good buy to me, if he can get it for $5k or less. however, if he feels like theres a slight possibility he'll want to mod, he should definitely go for the 4 banger.

I have a 4 banger right now... and i really dont need to be doing any modding. If i get one more ticket ill lose my liscence The most i might do is a exhaust and a system. Hows the Bose? What does it have for sub(s) and how easy would it be to wire a system in a audi. And any detail on how to test the clutch would be appreciated. Im hopefully going to look at the car around 7 tonight.

i just took it for a test drive and it should be in my drive way early next week! I dont know what everyones talking about that A4 is not that slow by any means, and it handles like god with that sunspension. Maybe its the intake etc.? but its not slow, unless you guys drive rockets
