He probably did it the right way, but didn't show it. The right way being putting a pipe through the hollow cat so you don't f*ck up your exhaust flow. But it's not like a standing wave will cause undue stress on anything like the turbo. That could never ever happen in a million years.

Seems like im cetching alot of heat. Yes I did weld a pipe through the Cat. Lets just compare Dollar amounts. $150 total for straight pipe, New IC, CAI. OR $600-800 for an exhaust that does the exact same thing hp wise. $850 for FMIC. and $250 for CAI. $1,900 for 10-13+ hp Over what I have gained... Compared to $150. Hmm did I mention im paying for a wedding and my lady is 2 mo's preg... Can some one say starving baby. Anyways.. Point is, just because I drive and audi. Dosent mean I have to Pay that much for the same thing. I dont know to many people on this board, that welds there own pipes..

lol@myspace

And Stuntman, I wasn't knocking doing stuff yourself, and I'm glad to see you hollowed your cat the right way! I have [had] a retarded friend who was all jacked up on his Camaro and he hollowed his cats and wondered why he got tons of backfires, hesitation, and it dyno'd about 20hp less.

No one has anything wrong with your setup, just that cyber was hoping you did what you did. Like i said in another thread, it cost money to not be able to do things. I so should TM that

Word.
I was thinking on a down pipe. But VA cops suck... Figured ill do it this way so I dont get 5-0 heat.
Just got back from a night drive. Seems like the ECU has corrected fuel/air curves. I can feel a Big diffrence over my Last set up. Flying through gears . Dont even have the chip yet. Cant wait!
