Default 02 A4 Mad Problems

Seeking help to try and figure out what's happening with my car. I'm scheduled to do a diagnostics this weekend.

1. My car has a loss of power when driving after about 10 minutes.
2. When I first start the car I could hear either the turbo or another part slowly unwind like if it was powering off slowly.
3. When I'm driving slow, my car tugs when it changes gears. Considering I drive a lot in traffic, this is getting really bothering.

I'm not too much of a car guy, but I just want to find the problems so my car can start running beautifully again.

Thank you
Jeff

im not too familiar with turbos,
however i have read that they need to be oiled...so the fact that it runs for 10 mins then starts ******* up is leading me to think it needs oil.

any check engine lights?

it might be a little more helpful to put a little more infor about your car as well.

Appreciate the feedback

My CEL is out but I know it would be on. Also my EPC light stays on. I'm at about 124,000 miles and have been up to date with my tuneups.

Either a bad turbo or a bad torque converter. When the engine is in park and you have the hood open, can you rev it to hear the noise in question? If you do it's the Turbo. They aren't expensive if you do it yourself. I spent $100 and found one in the junk yard.

You said when you first start your car you hear a whining noise? About how long does it take for it to stop and can no longer hear it?

My 2.7t acted weird when it was low on transmission fluid and was also due for a fluid change anyway. I would get this uneven sensation of torque being applied when idling that led me to believe I was experiencing torque converter issues, but it was the fluid and filter.
