02 broken light bulb indicator has a mind of it's own?
last night I was driving, and I got a warning on my display in my 02 a4 that my right front turn signal was out. i got out and checked, and sure enough it was out. however, it was also saying that all of the turn signal bulbs on the right side were out, when they were not. so i said, oh well, i'm out anyway, better go pick up a replacement bulb. anyway, i didn't get a chance to install it, and just thought i'd wait until today.
I hopped in the car this morning, started her up, and all is ok. wtf? the bulb isn't burned out today either!
is it normal for one turn signal bulb to make the information center think that one or two other bulbs are out? i know it's possible for a bulb to start working again, at least temporarily, if the filament happens to make contact again, but it still sounds weird!

precisely what I did consider...however, I thought i'd make a post to see if there is some strange issue with wiring that could cause this type of problem
I will replace it soon. Thanks!

I had this happen to my A4 as well.-- although it just recognizes the front right turn signal bulb out. Suddenly, It works-- as well as becomes broken again. It's been going on since January. Every opportunity to take it to the shop i have becomes pointless, as the damn bulb revives itself. I even have the spare bulb in the glove compartment- but I can't find the pill that makes my hand small enough to reach in and change it.
Mine has not gone out again yet since it was revived. I know bulbs can sorta revive themselves if the filament happens to wiggle around properly, but I worried that perhaps it was a wiring problem. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens.
It's funny, because in another thread, like 5 minutes ago, I had suggested that the 02 a4's were fine cars... and that my dad has had very little issue with his. ... albiet some issues with signal bulbs that all went within a few days of each other.
Wierd.... I guess this is a b6 thing? You guys get finicky bulbs... our control arms crap out. Sweet deal. :P
