Default 04 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro

Audi Newbie here, got mine used with 87k. I've been having a problem recently with my car, and it seems to be a transmission one, although I'm not quite sure why. I had my car checked up several times Once in October, and more recently in December (Bought the car early October).

Everytime I press on the gas, there seems to be a lag in transmission, and the car hits 2,500 rpms or higher when i try to speed up. This only happens from 0-25mph though, and it smoothens out a little on highway speeds. The car also seems to hiccup when its shifts gears up.

It used to be I'd hit little over 2000 and it would drop down to 1800, and everything was nice and smooth. But I've also recently had a flat, and I'm rolling with a spare tire (its the same size but the loading index is lower). Could it be the spare tire?

Would help to know what transmission you have.

Obviously not a manual but is it the tiptronic or CVT?
