Default 07 A4 HIDs

I just bought a 2007 A4 and it did not come with the HID lights, I asked the dealership if they would install them for me and they said no. They stated I had to buy the car like that. They told me it was not suggested to get them done at another place, as it would overheat the wires surrounding the area. Is this true? I've seen many cars have this done without any problems, so are they just lying to me? If so, what brand of lights should I get? Can they be easily installed on my own (I have no experience working with cars)? I'd probably go with about a 7,500K, I don't want something too blue looking.

So, what would be safer for my car and the surrounding wires? I guess... which gets hotter?

if u got a good HID kit u should be alrite and install it problerly
alot of people upgrade to HIDs and they are still alive

i dont see why ur wiring would be effected really, its no where near the hot bulb u kno
jsut find a secure and safe place for the ballace and wires and you should be good if u find a good kit out there
