1.8T or 2.8 30V?

The only real option for the 2.8 is a Supercharger and thats somthing like 3 to 5 grand and thats all you can do for major gains, or course theres the intake exhaust and chip but that does little to the car compared to the potential that the 1.8 has, and it will take the power, the stock 1.8 block is strong so your not gunna blow it with 235hp

I think they used bigger injectors programing and they might have the k04 but i think its just the k03

That's when they changed to the K03sport turbo. It shares some components with a K04 if I remember correctly. Oh yeah, you're not gonna blow up your engine with a stage1+ upgrade. From what I've seen here there are guy's running 350-400hp on their daily drivers.

Talk to brrman if you want to hear about long term reliability with a chip.. He has had no problems other than "normal" wear and tear that goes for most cars. I know lots of 1.8t-ers with a chip that consider their audi's to be very dependable, such as myself. You just gotta keep up on the maintnance and never neglect it.
